Service Charge Explained
The Oaks applies a standard 21% service charge to all food and beverage. This charge will appear on your original estimate and on your Banquet Event Order.
Please note, the service charge is not a gratuity. It helps cover the cost of staffing your event, including servers, bartenders, and the kitchen team. We take pride in paying our service staff a higher hourly wage than the average tipped employee in Colorado, ensuring they receive a dependable paycheck.
Tipping at The Oaks
If you’d like to show appreciation for our team, tips are always welcome but never expected. We accept tips in the form of cash or Venmo (@theoaksplumcreek). After the event concludes, your coordinator will collect and distribute tips to all staff members.
Tips for your coordinator are also greatly appreciated. If you wish to leave a tip for your coordinator, please separate it from tips intended for the service staff.
Tips are also accepted at the bar(s) during the event. If you prefer that tip jars not be visible, please let us know in advance so we can add this information to your Banquet Event Order.
Tipping Vendors
The Knot has put together a wonderful resource to guide clients on when and how to tip wedding vendors. To view this information, click here.
If you have prepared tip envelopes for your vendors, your coordinator will be happy to distribute them accordingly.
